Dave Beck is a practicing 3D digital, game, and new media artist and designer, living in Wisconsin.  He is the recipient of the 2010 International Science & Engineering Visualization Challenge Award, given by the National Science Foundation.  Beck's artwork has been featured in publications such as the New York Times, Sculpture Magazine, National Geographic, the journal Science, and the book GameScenes: Art in the Age of Videogames.

Dave is currently working on an art video game, titled Tombeaux. This interactive experience investigates the convergence between cultures and the environment across a few hundred years of midwestern American history. Visit the official game site at: http://www.tombeauxgame.com/

- Worked with students on Everend, a senior-capstone video game that took 1st place in art visuals at the Intel University Showcase at GDC 2017

Beck is currently employed at the University of Wisconsin-Stout as the Director and Associate Dean of the School of Art & Design, the largest higher education art and design program in Wisconsin or Minnesota. He is also the founding Director of the Game Design BFA, which is ranked as one of the top game design programs in the country by the Princeton Review.
