I want the viewer to think of Where It All Begins and Ends as both a prologue and epilogue to Logjam. This is meant to be viewed in a fine art gallery setting. The footage of the waterfall was shot at the location of where the first commercial sawmill on the St. Croix River was established. The shifting focus between such violent and peaceful states represents exactly what draws us to the natural beauty of water, and its potential as a metaphor for how we live.
